5 MARTIN PLACE & 121 CASTLEREAGH, SYDNEY

CBUS PROPERTY

For NAIDOC Week 2026, we operated across two Sydney towers, built around a scent collection we created from scratch and a donation to the Aboriginal Literacy

A collection with purpose

Cbus Property wanted its NAIDOC Week program to do more than mark the week. Across 5 Martin Place and 121 Castlereagh on 8 July, the activation needed to draw tenants and visitors in, then turn that attention into real support for the Aboriginal Literacy Foundation, which provides literacy programs, tutoring and book distribution for Indigenous young people.

For the occasion, we designed a collection from scratch. Scents of Australia brought twelve Australian-inspired profiles into six finished blends, each named with a word from Dharug and the Sydney Language, so guests were choosing between Guwiyang for fire, Yanada for moon, Guwing for sun, Dangara for dance and Budyari for good or beautiful. Every pairing was built to match its name, with Budyari bringing lime breeze together with lavender canopy and Buruwa layering morning mist over ceremony. Six cloches sat on each bar, one for every blend, and guests opened them until they found the one they were drawn to on the menu, then scanned a QR code and made a donation directly to the Foundation, with the fragrance as their thank-you. Each tower had its own design by Deck the Halls Styling.

Every donation went straight to the Foundation, and every guest left carrying a scent named in the language of the land the towers stand on, one that returns them to the day and the cause each time they wear it.
