A one-of-one fragrance for Queensland Day, shaped around the feeling of an afternoon summer storm: fresh, earthy, atmospheric and unmistakably Queensland.

For Queensland Day, 4BC wanted to do more than talk about place. They wanted to capture it.
The idea became The Scent of Queensland: a custom fragrance inspired by the smell of an afternoon summer storm, that fresh earthy petrichor that arrives after heat breaks and rain hits the ground.
We curated a scent kit, guided the fragrance direction and worked with the 4BC team as they brought the audience into the story. The final blend combined Boisée, Oud Tobacco and Dark Sand, creating something warm, grounded and atmospheric.
The scent was produced as 200 custom-labelled bottles for the campaign. What began as a radio idea became a physical keepsake: Queensland, bottled.
